I got a starter pack when I was tring out different brands to see which ones I liked. The set had 4 day pads with 4 day liner, 2 heavy liners and 2 pantyliners. I found that the pantyliners were really comfy and fit well without moving around. They work well for light flow days.

The pads not so much. Once you do the initial wash the pads shrunk a bit and the liners no longer fit into the pockets. If I did manage to fit the liner into the pocket and put it in place it was WAY too narrow in the middle and really not comfortable at all. I ended up using the liners in my Gladrags pads and these pads as pantyliners.

This was my first introduction to buying cloth pads. I bought a regular pad with a few light inserts. Things that I liked:

  • The seller is Canadian
  • The pads are soft and breathable
  • I like the base + insert style
  • They're made without PUL or other synthethics

I was using them primarily as a backup for a menstrual cup, so I didn't need much absorbency, and they worked perfectly well. However, they started to look shabby pretty quickly- possibly something to do with the flannel used, possibly I just didn't like the way that the serged edges looked over time. Buying a full stash was also well beyond my budget at the time. I was glad of the introduction to cloth pads, but not happy enough to go back and buy more.
