PiMPs are definitely the most professional looking of any I've seen, and the prints are really nice! it really is a party in there. The nylon backing is a leak-proof wall I'd challenge any gal to soak through (you can't!) The snaps are quality, secure but easy enough to undo when it's time. They hold up well in the wash, but require a little extra water while wringing and rinsing because of the waterproof backing. My one complaint is that most items are too wide for me: while they fit my undies just fine, the shape of my thighs causes unavoidable bunching that is always sort of like an upside down lower case omega, with the absorbent side in, so I end up bleeding in two stripes along the edges. Also, at night the back edge of the longer pads slips to the side (though I'm a back sleeper), and I often bleed of the edge even wearing the queen. I might experiment with safety pins at some point, or just stick to dedicated period night undies, since it almost never gets past the underwear, and rarely past the pj pants.
For those reasons, I give it a 4 out of 5, but they still make up a substantial part of my collection. Also, the free liner for new customers is a great idea: that was the very first cloth product I ever tried, and it was enough to reel me in! And the little bite of chocolate tucked into the packaging is a lovely touch! <3

I can only go by the free pantyliner sample they sent me, but I do like it. When it arrived I sort of doubted it had any decent capacity, but it really held it's own. It stayed in place nicely and it felt like there was nothing there at all.

I probably won't be buying more unless I manage to get them on the cheap. They are a touch more expensive than I'd like.

Luci and Lydia run a tight ship, and I love that they provide lots of opportunities to get free or discounted pads through contests and promotions. The pads are well made, with no loose seams, though I did get one with sort of broken snaps, and the nylon isn't 100% waterproof. They're quite durable, as I've been using some of mine for upwards of two years, and they still look great. The notable feature of PIMPs is that they are ridiculously thin, thinner than "ultra thin" disposables, but more absorbent and available in stylish prints. They're pricey, but I really do think they're some of the best pads on the market. You have to be careful to check the widths of the pads, as the smaller ones can be quite narrow; ask for a free wing extender with your order if you're not sure how narrow your pads will be relative to your underwear. Additionally, because the backing is nylon, they will slip around if your underwear isn't quite snug, so keep that in mind, too.

I love the free pantyliner deal. I love how they will offer discounted ones every now and again. All the pimps I have are super cheap. I got two overnight pads that I got during the Japan awareness support. It's the only pad I trust for night time flow now. Other than that, I don't use my other pimps as much. They are getting to be bottom of my basket sort of deal. Although I always recommend their free pantyliner deal to any of the cloth curious. Freebies and seconds is how I grew my stash.

I've tried the 'mini' liner and 'overnight' styles of this brand.

The 'mini' liner was much too small for my 12-14 size frame and because the backing is smooth nylon instead of a material with more texture it tends to shift backwards during wear.

The overnight pad fits much better for my frame, yet still shifts a bit. These pads/liners are AMAZINGLY thin. I have a moderate flow and have never leaked through the overnight pad. The thin design is surprising more absorbent than I thought it would be but I personally like the 'security' / feeling of a slightly thicker pad.

PIMPs is not one of my favorite brands. They are priced pretty high ($10 for an itty bitty liner) and have the tendency to bunch up, despite adding the extra snap setting when ordering.

I would rate these a 4, taking 1 point off for the slippery backing that is prone to shifting and because of the 'bunching' issue. Customer service was great and the items were shipped very quickly in lovely packaging that included a yummy chocolate. These pads are also very 'professional' looking (great sewing!)

The 'free' liner is worth the price of shipping but I wouldn't recommend investing in more than 1-2 of these pads before trying them out first.

Party In My Pants

Love these pads- SUPER thin and SUPER comfy.

Quality- Top notch stitching. Great quality fabrics (they offer flanellette, cotton, and organic cotton in a variety of prints). MANY sizes to choose from. I personally enjoy the larger pads, such as the Luxe liner (a larger sized pantyliner), the Large pad, and the overnight pad. The smaller liners tended to shift a little, but are still useful to me for everyday wear. These pads are super thin but VERY absorbant. I couldn't believe how much they would hold without any leaks whatsoever. The fabrics could possibly stain, but with proper soaking and care, I have yet to stain any of mine (knock on wood!).

Price- A bit expensive, but worth it! Purchasing the kits (of 3 or 6 pads) can save you some money. They also have specials from time to time, and have MANY giveaways on their facebook page. They also offer a liner sample for the cost of shipping. Shipping is very reasonable, and SUPER fast!

Customer Service- Outstanding. The company is run by two sisters, Luci and Lydia, and they are so wonderful. Expect a nice handwritten thank you note in every order (and they remember their continued customers!!!). Also, they inclde a lovely piece of dark chocolate in every order (it is SO yummy!). Their pads are also ready to ship, so you do not have to wait long at all, but are still customizable to size and desired print (not all fabrics are available for all pad sizes, but trust me, you will have no problem finding something or many somethings that you want!). The website is great and super easy to navigate and order. Also, they offer a free sample of OxoBrite oxygen cleaner for pads in every order (you have to select it on the menu, but it's amazing stuff!).

I love these pads. They are excellent for women who want a thinner, less noticeable pad. I forget I'm wearing them at times. My best friend tried a couple pads that I gave her, and these were the only ones she liked! Highly recommend having them!

Thin and sooo pretty!

Post  splattitude on Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:45 pm

PIMPs was one of three brands I chose to try when making the switch from tampons to reusable pads, and I love them. They are really, really thin, and I can wear them with anything, but they hold their own beautifully, and so far, nary a leak to be had! I corresponded with Melissa, who was extremely helpful, and all of my questions were patiently answered. There are so many gorgeous patterns to choose from (I'd love to know where they find their fabrics) and I always feel great when I put one on. I chose the Deluxe Starter Kit, which includes an overnight, large and luxe liner. I've recently ordered another of the same kit, and these pads are a perfect fit for my more-than-ample 18-20 frame. I also love their pantiliners, and the way the pads fold into convenient pockets.

Hint to first-time orderers:
Like a Star @ heaven You can still claim your free pantiliner with your order; this saves on shipping.
Like a Star @ heaven Order an extra snap and a wing extender the first time, so that they'll fit your panties perfectly and you'll know for sure what to do next time. (Because these snaps are common on pads, you may be able to use the extender with other brands as well, if you're wearing boy-cuts or bigger panties.)
Like a Star @ heaven make sure to get an Oxo brite sample; it works wonderfully and it's free. Also, if you like the pads, get a Tell A Friend Kit and share the love

I live in Asia, so the single downside is the $9.99 international shipping fee, although this is sometimes reduced in sales and promotions.
