Re: Girly Bits (Aus)
I have had 3 of these pads. The first 2 I got, one of them was made with a recycled silk kimono top and had PUL backing, but it was an early type of PUL which degraded quickly (as I found with some other pads I made myself with it), so that ended up getting a bit crunchy on top and the PUL stopped being leakproof, so I retired it. The pantyliner I got at the same time though was brilliant and was one of my favourite pantyliners. I still have it, although it's faded now (must be about 5 years old or more) so no longer one of my faves. The shape was what made it one of my favourites though, as they have a wider back section that sort of wraps around your undies becoming the wing. I found on the pantyliner it gave a really great fit. The other one I have is an AIO with newer PUL and a bamboo velour top and it's gorgeous! I tend to like to wear longer pads, so while I know this pad would be absorbent enough for a heavy day, I tend to only wear it on lighter days because of it's length. Beautiful choice in fabrics. The pads are well sewn but there is "zig zag" stitching to hold the core onto the top layer of the pad, which I don't think looks as nice as other pads that don't have it. I'd rate these 4.5/5 but since I can't do 4.5, I'll rate it 5
