I've tried out my first ever Matersum pad today and man, has it ever taken a beating. I'm currently bleeding at my absolute heaviest and this pad has dealt with it admirably.

This is probably the perfect daytime pad for me (the length and shape just wouldn't offer enough protection against my tendancy to spill over the ends at night time). It's secure, comfortable and I felt very confident wearing it. I don't know how much of a role the crescent stitching played in directing the flow but it all stayed well away from the edges of the pad.

I will be buying more of these, without a shadow of a doubt.

Matersum (CAN) Empty New Favorites!

Post  blisslightjoy Thu Apr 19, 2012 3:29 pm

I finally got a chance to try my matersum pads and they have joined the ranks of my top three favorite brands of pads without a doubt.

I was apprehensive about the lack of water resistant barrier at first, but leaks have not been a problem with these pads. In fact, they are even more absorbent than a comparably sized pad that gives up valuable pad space for a non-absorbent, water repellent barrier layer like polyester fleece or wool.

These are my favorite pads for light to regular days, when I know that I will have the opportunity to change my pad as needed. So, these aren't my go-to for days when I'm on a long car ride or stuck in class all day, but when I know I'll have the ability to change my pad whenever I need to: I LOVE THESE PADS.

I've found they are even more comfortable than some of my slightly thinner liners: and of course, more absorbent.

The design is unique, and you can tell Jennifer put a lot of thought into it. It fits my undies perfectly, no bunching, no leaks, great coverage, yet still thin and trim. I love the quick dry design of these pads, too: faster drying time, plus I just feel like the pad gets cleaner than my other all-in-ones.

I highly recommend these pads. One of my *very* favorite brands. Can't wait to get more!

Note that I prefer very trim, thin, smaller pads with natural materials and adequate absorbency. These fit the bill! Very absorbent and trim!
