I was given one of these in a swap, I think my swapper knew I'd wanted one for a while (and it's purple too!). I like the way the edges have a sort of ribbon type thing under the overlocking, it gives it a nice defined and stabilized edge. The cord backing is interesting, but seems to come in 2 colours for some reason (mine is black and blue). The fabric its made from is a lovely shade of purple, and quite soft.
I prefer other styles over pockets, and I also find this one a little short for me (I like long pads)... so it's not one of my favourite pads... and I find the insert they provide you with is a bit thin, so not terribly absorbent (although you can purchase additional ones), but one of the advantages of a pocket style is you can cut a piece of PUL or something waterproof to put inside if you need waterproofing and you can always make your own insert. They do have a hemp version which I haven't tried... and they now do a night length which I'm tempted to try because that would be a better length for me.
